Episode #201 (Chapter 1) The Avatar State: (premiered 3/17/2006)Aang and the gang meet an Earth Kingdom general (Fong) who has big plans for defeating the Fire Nation. Zuko's sister Azula makes her debut appearance as an additional cast member with some unexpected news. This episode also has flash backs to past episodes.
Episode #202 (Chapter 2) The Cave of Two Lovers: (premiered 3/21/ 2006). The gang gets lost then separated in a cave along with a group of refugees. Can Aang and Katara rely on love to get them out? Or will they be forever trapped by the curse?
Episode #203 (Chapter 3) Return to Omashu. (premiered 4/7/06) Kids revisit Omashu with the hopes that King Bumi can teach Aang Earthbending.
Episode #204 (Chapter 4) The Swamp. (premiered 4/14/2006) When the kids end up in a mysterious and strange swamp, thier fears are exposed. Aang learns about being "connected".
Episode #205 (Chapter 5) The Avatar Day. (premiered 4/28/2006) Aang the the gang discover an Earth town that celebrates something called "Aavatar Day." When they learn that it is not a celebration of the Avatar, but a festival of anti-Avatar sentiment caused by something Aang did in his past, Aang is determined to clear his name. Meanwhile, Iroh and Zuko are having relationship troubles of thier own.
Episode #206 (Chapter 6) The Blind Bandit (premiered 5/5/2006) In search of an Earthbending teacher, Aang and the gang go to an underground Earthbending tournament where they encounter Toph, a blind but powerful Earthbender. After seeing her unique style of Earthbending, Aang is determined to get Toph to teach him, but thier are complications. (This episodes showcases the primier of Toph, the newest addition to the Avatar cast).
Episode #207 (Chapter 7) Zuko Alone. (premiered 5/12/2006) Traveling without Uncle Iroh now, Zuko wanders into an Earth Kingdom town where he bonds with a local boy. Meanwhile, Zuko is haunted by memories of his youth. (For the first time, fans can see what Zuko's mother is like. A great all Zuko episode!)
Episode #208 (Chapter 8) The Chase. (premiered 5/26/2006) As the kids are pursued relentlessly by a mysterious machine, thier exhaustion puts them at each other's throats.
Episode #209 (Chapter 9) Bitter Work (premiered 6/2/06) When Aang struggles with a block while trying to learn Earthbending from Toph, he wonders if the proble is with him or his teacher. Meanwhile, Sokka get himself in a jam and Zuko is dealing with his own bitter struggles.
Episode #210 (Chapter 10) The Fury of Aang, Part 1: The Library. (premiered 7/14/2006) A professor leads the kids to a Spirit library where Sokka hopes to find information about the Fire Nation.
Episode #211 (Chapter 11) The Fury of Aang, Part 2: The Desert (premiered 7/14/06). Aang searches for Appa stolen by desert sand people while Katara struggles to keep everyone together and survive the desert. Meanwhile, Uncle Iroh and Zuko seek help from an ancient secret society.
Episode #212 (Chapter 12) The Secret of the Fire Nation, Part 1: The Serpent's Pass. (premiered 9/15/2006) Aang and the gang help a desparate family of refugess get to Ba Sing Se through the dangerous and deadly Serpent's Pass with the help of an old friend.
Episode #213 (Chapter 13) The Secret of the Fire Nation, Part 2: The Drill (premiered 9/15/2006). Having made it to the outer wall of Ba Sing Se, the kids see a Fire Nation army heading right towards them carry a deadly invention. It is up to the gang to try and stop them. Meanwhile, Zuko and Iroh make crucial mistakes which begin to attract Jet's suspescions.
Episode #214 (Chapter 14) City of Walls and Secrets (premiered 9/22/2006) Having finally made it to Ba Sing Se, the kids are given a house in the uppper ring. They are anxious to tell the Earth King thier plan but run into unanticipated complications. Meanwhile, still conviced that Iroh and Zuko may be Fire Nation, Jet decides to take matters into his own hands.
Episode #215 (Chapter 15) Tales of Ba Sing Se (premiered 9/29/2006) A collection of short stories about the Avatar characters adventures in Ba Sing Se. Tales feature: Katara and Toph, Iroh, Sokka, Aang, Zuko and Momo.
Episode #216 (Chapter 16) Appa's Lost Days. Episode fills in what happened to Appa from the time he was captured by the Sandbenders. Suki and her female warriors make another appearance.
Episode #217 (Chapter 17) Lake Laogai. The gang gets help from a surprising source in thier continued search for Appa within the walls of Ba Sing Se. But can they trust him??
Episode #218 (Chapter 18) The Earth King. Aang and the gang are determined to meet the Earth King. Zuko becomes seriously ill and faces a spiritual crisis.
Episode #219 (Chapter 19) The Guru (premiered 12/2/2006) The gang seperates as Aang travels to the Eastern Air Temple meet with a spiritual Guru who will help to teach Aang to control his Avatar State.
Episode #220 (Chapter 20) The Crossroads to Destiny. (premiered 12/2/2006). Second part of the final season. Aang chooses to leave before he can master his Avatar State when he senses Katara is in trouble. Zuko must choose his destiny.
Second Season New Characters to the Series:
Azula - Zuko's 15 year old younger sister and constant thorn in Zuko's side steps into Admiral Zhao's position as the evil antagonist and all around badgal! Proficient at controlling electricity, a difficult firebending technique to master (as previously seen by Uncle Iroh in the episode "The Storm") and under the direction of the Fire Lord himself, Azula he makes her debut speaking appearance in the season premiere, "The Avatar State" and becomes a regular character on the series along with her two companions Mai and TyLee who join Azula elite team to help her catch the Avatar and her fugative brother and uncle.
Toph (aka the Blind Bandit) , twelves, she joins the Avatar team as their newest memeber. Toph, blind since birth becomes Aang's new earthbending teacher.
Hakoda (Sokka and Katara's father). Sokka is evenutally re-united with his father in the final two episodes of the second season.
Guru Pathik is an old spiritual teacher who wants to teach Aang how to enter and to control his Avatar State at will. We also learn that Guru Pathik was once an old friend to Monk Gyatso (Aang's master).
The Earth King - the King of Ba Sing Sei makes several appearances towards the end of the second season and will most likely continue into the third season.
Returning Characters:
Jet (the rebel Freedom Fighter Leader) will return for a couple of episodes in the later part of the second season as the kids reach the Earth Kingdom city of Ba Sing Sei. He brings along two of his Freedom Fighters Smellerbee (who we learn is a girl, lol) and Longshot (the archer)
Bato (fellow Water Tribe warrior and good friend of Sokka's father) Bato makes a reappearance when Sokka is able to re-unite with his father Hakoda.
