From Chapter 1: The Avatar State
| Iroh while getting a message: "Who would have thought floating on a piece of driftwood for three weeks without food or water and sea vulchars wanting to pluck out your liver could make one so tense?" |
| Zuko: "I want my father to not think I'm worthless." |
| Iroh: "I'm sure he doesn't. Why would he banish you if he didn't care?" |
| Zuko looks at his uncle, gets up and walks away. |
| Iroh: "That came out the wrong way, didn't it?" |
| General Fong after he forces Aang' s Avatar Spirit out and he nearly distroys the Earth Kingdom fortress. "That was almost perfect! We just need to find out a way to control you while you're like that." |
| Aang: "You're out of your mind!" |
| General Fong ignoring Aang: "I guess we'll just figure it out on our way to the Fire Nation." |

Sokka comes up and thunks General Fong upside the head with a club: "Anybody got a problem with that?" |
| Rest of Earth Kingdom soldiers still standing shake their heads. |
From Chapter Two: The Cave of Two Lovers
| Zuko: "Uncle, what are you doing?" |
| Iroh: "You're looking at the rare white dragon bush. Its leaves make a tea so delicious it's heartbreaking.....that or it's the white jade bush which is poisionous." |
| Zuko: "We need food, not tea! I'm going fishing!" |
| Iroh (contemplating) : "Hmmm....delectable tea or deadly poison." |
| Iroh: "Zuko, remember the plant I thought was tea?" |
| Zuko: "You didn't?!" |
| Iroh: "I did ....and it wasn't. When the rash spreads to my throat I'll stop breathing." |
| Zuko: "We need to find help." |
| Iroh: "But where are we going to go? We're enemies of the Earth Kingdom and fugatives from the Fire Nation. " |
| Zuko: "If the Earth Kingdom discovers us, they'll have us killed." |
| Iroh: "But is the Fire Nation discovers us, we'll be turned over to Azula." |
| Both look at each other |
| Zuko: "Earth Kingdom it is." |
| Katara (after they've been wandering around lost in the caves): "Sokka this is the tenth dead end you've led us to." |
| Sokka: "This doesn't make any sense. We already came through this way." |
| Wandering Mintral Player: "We don't need a map, we just need love. The little guy knows it." |
| Aang: "Yeah....but I wouldn't mind a map also." |
| After Katara nervously suggests they kiss to get out of the cave, then embarrassed changes her mind. "Us kissing. What was I thinking? Can you imagine that" |
| Aang laughs nervously: "Yeah...I definitely wouldn't want to kiss you." |
| Katara (looking at Aang indignantly): "Well, I didn't realize it was such a horrible option. Sorry I suggested it!" |
| Aang: "No. I mean if it was a choice between kissing you and dying..." Katara cuts him off, offended. |
| Aang: "What? I'm saying I'd rather kiss you than die. That's a compliment." |
| Katara: "Well, I'm not sure which I'd rather do!" and storms away |
| Aang sighing: "What is wrong with me?" |
| Sokka (after escaping from the caves): "How did you guys get out?" |
| Aang: "Just like the legend says. We let love lead the way." |
| Sokka: "Really? We let huge feroucious beasts lead our way." |
| Katara to Sokka: "Why is your forehead all red?" |
| Wandering Mintral Player: "Nobody react to what I'm about to tell you. (points to Sokka) I think that kid might be the Avatar." |
| Sokka slaps his forehead again. |
From Chapter 1: Boy in the Iceberg

| Sokka: "You just sneezed and flew ten feet in the air." |
| Aang: "Really? It felt a lot higher than that." |

| When Sokka sees Appa for the first time. |
| Sokka: "What is that thing?" |
| Aang: "That's Appa my flying bison." |
| Sokka: "Yeah right. And this is Katara, my flying sister." |

| When Aang meets the members of the water tribe village for the first time. |
| Aang: "Ah, why are they looking at me like that? Did Appa sneeze on me?" |
From Chapter 2: The Avatar Returns

| Prince Zukko meets Aang for the first time |
| Zukko: "I've spent years preparing for this encounter. Training, meditating. You're just a child." |
| Aang: "Well, you're just a teenager." |

| When Katara & Sokka decide to try and rescue Aang after Prince Zuko takes him from the village. |
| Sokka: "There's no way we're going to catch a warship with a canoe." |
| Katara sees Aang's flying bison: "Appa!" |
| Sokka: "You just love taking me out of my comfort zone, don't ya?" |

| When Katara accidently freezes Sokka to the deck of the Fire Navy warship while trying to rescue Aang. |
| Katara: "Hurry up!" |
| Sokka chipping away at the ice binding his feet to the deck: "I'm just a guy with a boomerang. I didn't ask for all this flying and magic." |

| As Aang, Katara & Sokka are flying away from Prince Zuko's damaged ship. |
| Uncle Iroh: "Good news for the Fire Lord. The Fire Nation's greatest threat is just a little kid." |
| Zuko: "That kid Uncle, just did this. I won't underestimate him again." |

| Flying aboard Appa after recuing Aang from Prince Zuko. |
| Katara: "Aang, why didn't you tell us you were the Avatar?" |
| Aang: "Because I never wanted to be." |
From Chapter 3: The Southern Air Temple

| Aboard Appa on the way to the Southern Air Temple. |
| Sokka with grumbling stomach searching in his food pouch: "Hey! Who ate all my blubber seal jerky?" |
| Aang: "Oh? That was food? I used it to start the campfire last night. Sorry." |
| Sokka: "You what! Aah - no wonder the flames smelled so good." |

| After Sokka tries to play airball with Aang to cheer him up. |
| Aang victorious: "Aang seven! Sokka zero!" |
| Sokka with face planted in the grass: "Making him feel better is putting me in a world of hurt." |

| After Prince Zuko challenges Commander Zhao to Agni Kai (fire duel). |
| Uncle Iroh: "Prince Zuko. Have you forgotten what happened the last time you dueled a master?" |
| Zuko (close up on scar covering left side of his face): "I will never forget!" |

| As Prince Zuko prepares to fire duel Commander Zhao. |
| Uncle Iroh: "Remember your firebending basics, Prince Zuko. They are your greatest weapons." |
|
Zuko: "I refuse to let him win." |

| After Prince Zuko defeats Commander Zhao and Uncle Iroh stops Zhoa from retaliating. |
| Uncle Iroh: "So this is how the great Commander Zhao acts in defeat? Disgraceful. Even in exile my nephew is more honorable than you. Thanks again for the tea. It was delicious." |

Prince Zuko as they head back to the ship: "Did you really mean that, Uncle?" |
|
Uncle Iroh: "Of course. I told you ginseng tea was my favorite." |
From Chapter 4: The Warriors of Kyoshi

Sokka looking at a similiar map aboard Appa out in the middle of the ocean: "You have no idea where you're going do you?" |

| Katara: "He looks good." |

Sokka: "What do you mean? The fish is doing all the work." |

| After being captured by the female warriors. |
| Sokka: "Where are the men who ambushed us?" |
|
Suki: "There were no men. We're the ones who ambushed you. Now tell us who you are and what you're doing here." |
|
Sokka: "There's no way a bunch of girls took us down." |
|
Suki: "A bunch of girls, huh? The Unagi is going to eat well tonight." |
|
Katara: "Don't hurt him. He didn't mean it. My brother's just an idiot sometimes." |

| While Aang & Katara are enjoying the meal prepared by the villagers on Kyoshi, Sokka broods in the corner. |
| Aang: "Sokka. What's your problem? Come eat." |
|
Sokka still brooding: "I'm not hungry." |
| Both Katara & Aang look at him strangely. Aang: "But you're always hungry." |

| Sokka dressed in the female warrior's uniform. |
| Sokka: "Do I really have to wear this? It feels a little girly." |
|
Suki: "It's a warriors uniform. You should be proud. The silk thread symbolizes the brave blood that flows through our veins. The golden insignia represents the honor of the warrior's heart." |
|
Sokka stands proudly. "Bravery & Honor." |
| Aang walking past: "Hey Sokka. Nice dress." |

Regaining consciousness after nearly drowning following his encounter with the Unagi. |
| Aang to Katara: "Don't ride the Unagi. Not fun." |

While Sokka is saying goodbye to Suki |
| Sokka: "I treated you like a girl when I should have treated you like a warrior." |
|
Suki kisses him on the cheek: "I am a warrior.... But I'm also a girl." |
From Chapter 5: The King of Omashu

| The King: "So tell me young bald one. Where are you from?" |

Aang: "I'm from Kangaroo Island." |
| The King: "Kangaroo Island, eh? I hear that place is really hopping." |

| Katara: "You can't keep us here. Let us leave." |

The King: "Lettuce Leaf?" (hold up a lettuce leaf and chomps on it.) |

| After Aang chooses the king for his opponent and discovers he's not a frail old man but a powerful Earthbender. |
| Aang: "Can I fight the guy with the axe instead?" |
From Chapter 6: Imprisioned

After hearing a big boom, Aang & Katara decide to check it out. |

Sokka: "Wait! Shouldn't we move away from huge booms not towards them?" |

| The Warden: "Which was it? A bison or a buffalo?" |

First Guard: "Uh, I'm not sure but that's not really the point is it sir?" |

The Warden: "I'll decide what the point is!" (Throws guard overboard then addresses the second guard) "You! Wake the captain. Search the entire rig." |
| Second Guard: "Sir, that was the captain you just threw overboard." |

While Tyro suspends the warden and his men above the water on a pile of coal. |
| The Warden: "No please! I can't swim." |
|
Tyro: "Don't worry. I hear cowards float." |
From Chapter 9: The Waterbending Scroll

Katara offers to teach Aang to waterbend. |

Sokka: "Maybe we can find a puddle for you to splash in." |
|
Trio find an area with a huge waterfall. Katara and Aang looking excitedly up at the waterfall. |

Sokka: "Nice puddle." |

| Aang: "Time to practice waterbending." |
| Sokka: "Great. What am I suppose to do?" |
|
Aang: "You could clean the gunk out of Appa's toes." |

Sokka: "So while you guys get to play in the water, I'm suppose to be hard at work picking mud out of a giant bison's feet?" |

Aang: "Mud and bugs." |

While Sokka cleans Appa's feet, he groans contently. |
